Headline
On October 15, 2003, Stephen Harper and I signed an Agreement-in-principle
for the reuniting of our two parties and the re-joining
of conservatives across Canada. Within the framework of
this agreement we can now start to build a bigger conservative
family and a new partnership for Canada.
This agreement stresses values integral to the PC Party
of Canada. It is the basis on which the membership of both
our parties can make an educated decision on creating a
single Conservative Party of Canada. The
agreement includes provision for equality between the parties;
a national party reaching out to all Canadians; fiscal accountability
and progressive social policy; free and fair trade, and
respect for Canada's diversity and official languages. |
